I'm talking stem cells here. Stem cells conjure up all sorts of ideas and
opinions, ranging from how horrible they are to how they cure everything.
But in a recent study, stem cells have shown they can reverse blindness.
I say reverse and not cure because, in my opinion, not enough time has
elapsed to prove the effectiveness of the treatment.
No, these stem cells are not from fetuses. They come from the patients
other eye and are cultured on a contact lens, then the contact is inserted
into the bad eye. This is the future of medicine, we need to push
research like this forward.
